Korean Beef Rib Stew Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Beef short ribs: 1 kg
  • CJ Beef Rib BBQ Sauce: 300g
  • Water: 900ml (5 cups)
  • Radish: 130g (1 cup)
  • Carrot: 130g (1 cup)
  • Green onion: 70g (1 cup)
  • Shiitake mushrooms: 40g (1 cup)
  • Soy sauce: 30g (1 cup)
  • Rice wine (or cooking wine): 180ml

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Ribs: Remove the blood from the beef ribs by soaking them in cold water for about 30 minutes, then drain the water. Blanch the ribs in boiling water for 10 minutes, then rinse them in cold water to remove any remaining impurities.
  2. Prepare the Vegetables: Cut the radish, carrot, green onion, and shiitake mushrooms into pieces similar in size to the ribs.
  3. Cook the Stew: Add the ribs, CJ Beef Rib BBQ Sauce, and water to a large pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Add Vegetables and Simmer: Add the prepared vegetables to the pot. Reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer for another 40 minutes until the ribs are tender and the flavors have melded together.
