Instructions

  1. Prepare a large pot to prevent rice cakes and fish cakes from boiling over.
  2. Add 450ml of water, sauce, and rice cakes to the pot. Stir until the sauce dissolves.
  3. Heat the pot and add the fish cakes before boiling to prevent splattering.
    (Tip: Add fish cakes before the water boils).
  4. Once the rice cakes and fish cakes soften, add green onions and simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes.
    (Optional: Cook longer for puffier rice cakes).
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the tteokbokki and either:
  • Serve immediately, or
  • Microwave for 1 minute for a melted cheese finish.
