Instructions

1. For soups, stews, and hotpot dishes:

  • After adding water and bringing your soup, stew, or hotpot to a boil, add Ottogi Old-Fashioned Sarimyeon. Boil for an additional 6 minutes, and you can easily enjoy a dish with chewy noodles.
  • For a chewier texture, after soaking Ottogi Old-Fashioned Sarimyeon in cold or lukewarm water for 30 minutes, add to your soup, stew, or hotpot and boil for 3-4 minutes.

2. For stir-fries, bulgogi, and tteokbokki:

  • After soaking Ottogi Old-Fashioned Sarimyeon in cold or lukewarm water for 30 minutes, add to your stir-fry, bulgogi, or tteokbokki and stir-fry or cook together. There’s no need to pre-boil. Cook until the noodles turn translucent, and then enjoy.

Tip: If you soak the noodles in cold or lukewarm water for 30 minutes and then boil them for 3 to 4 minutes, you'll enjoy perfectly chewy noodles.
